If you grew up in the 1980s, you may remember that McDonald's was once home to unique outdoor playground equipment. Themed to Ronald McDonald and his gang (Grimace, Mayor McCheese, the Hamburgler, etc.) the playground was a good place to work off some Chicken McNuggets and French Fries calories. In this home video clip, I am reminiscing about how I have old home video footage of me and my sister playing on one of those distinct playgrounds in the 1980s. This is a segment from a podcast episode I did with my friend Jason Lady where we talked about our favorite food and beverage mascots from the 1980s and 1990s.
Looking back at McDonald's Outdoor Play Area in the 1980s with my sister.
